Online legal forms: Benefit or Disaster

I often am asked the question "why not use online legal forms?" The answer is simple: unless you are an attorney and well versed in the area of law you seek legal forms in, you should not use online forms. That of course is the short answer. The long answer is that people who represent themselves are held to the same standard by the Court as people who are represented by attorneys. Just like I do not know how to due safe electrical wiring in my home as I have not been trained to be an electrician, a lay person should not attempt to practice law. If your legal situation is important to you, obtain an attorney. Our office offers low cost legal consultations to advise you of your rights & options and to come up with a solid plan of action in your case.
